A Radnóti Színházban tíz évig sikerrel játszott A kripli szerzőjének, Martin McDonagh-nak Olivier-díjas színdarabja egy meg nem nevezett rendőrállamban játszódik. Katuriant, az írót többszörös gyerekgyilkosság vádjával hallgatja ki Tupolski és Ariel – a jó és a rossz zsaru –, ugyanis bizarr, horrorisztikus témájú novellái gyanúsan sok esetben válnak valósággá a városban. A kihallgatás során fény derül Katurian és szellemileg visszamaradott fivére, Michal zaklatott gyerekkorára, és ahogy halad előre a történet, a nyomozók valódi arcát, múltját, motivációit is megismerjük. Torokszorító dráma az emberi kegyetlenségről és a történetmesélés erejéről.
Az előadásban durva szavak hangzanak el, megtekintését 16 éven aluliak számára nem ajánljuk.
A színdarabot THE PILLOWMAN címmel 2003. november 13-án mutatták be londoni National Theatre Cottesloe színpadán, John Crowley rendezésében.
A színdarab Magyarországon a THEATRUM MUNDI Színházi és Irodalmi Ügynökség közvetítésével kerül színre.
