Egy orosz kisváros polgármestere biztos forrásból értesül arról, hogy Pétervárról revizor érkezik hozzájuk inkognitóban. Alighogy a város elöljáróival közli a fontos hírt, máris megerősítést nyer a gyanú, hogy a két hete a városba érkezett és azóta ott állomásozó idegen fiatalember nem lehet más, mint a hivatali visszaéléseket felderítő, rettegett ellenőr.
Gogol komédiáját 177 éve mutatták be először és azóta is folyamatos sikernek örvend. Talán azért, mert elhisszük a szerzőnek, hogy mindannyiunknak van vaj a fején. „Mit röhögtök? Magatokon röhögtök!” – kiáltja a vígjáték egyik jelenetében a színházi szállóigét a polgármester.

Theatre? Cinema? A concert? How about all three at once? Bori Péterfy has been a key figure in the Hungarian underground scene ever since the late ‘80s. She has amassed a series of acting credits for memorable roles at both independent and traditional theatres, while simultaneously gaining iconic status in the country’s music scene as a performer with Amorf Ördögök and, later on, Love Band.
The dice and the stopwatch will be coming out again at the Béla Bartók National Concert Hall as it hosts another round of musical ‘battle’. When we talk about instrumental duels in the Hungarian capital these days, it is no longer necessarily Bach and Marchand, or even Liszt and Thalberg, that we are thinking of, because we have our own riveting concert series right here at Müpa Budapest.
