„Úgy szólt a zene, hogy Pestről jött egy gyönyörű, fiatal tanítónő. A falu egész úgynevezett „intelligenciája” rárohant, meg akarta kapni. Szabad prédának nézték, akit senki se véd meg. Jegyző, bíró, orvos, minden nadrágos a saját ágyába szerette volna fektetni, de főleg a parasztnábob. A kis tanítónő erős volt, jól állt a lábán. Belerúgott a tolakodókba, de a végén a sok harc felemésztette. Vette a sátorfáját, és eltűnt az élet nagyon bonyolult forgatagában.”
