Our offer

What would happen if Sándor Petőfi were to write János Vitéz right here and now, before our very eyes? In this new stage version, the story emerges from a giant laptop, from which the two-dimensional and living characters of the tale come to life to bring the world of Johnny Corncob and Iluska into being through spoken word and song.

Theatre? Cinema? A concert? How about all three at once? Bori Péterfy has been a key figure in the Hungarian underground scene ever since the late ‘80s. She has amassed a series of acting credits for memorable roles at both independent and traditional theatres, while simultaneously gaining iconic status in the country’s music scene as a performer with Amorf Ördögök and, later on, Love Band.

One thing we know for certain about the 21st century is that it will be when the survivors of the Holocaust take their last breath. Every single one of them. Slowly but surely, they are leaving us to our own devices. “Do we want to forget what happened, as if it were a bad dream, or do we want to accept the events as human civilization’s greatest trauma?” the author Péter Esterházy once asked.
