For the fourteenth time, the Müpa is presenting a concert that brings the spotlight down on the myriad possibilities of the cimbalom and the tárogató. As in previous years, those in the audience in search of novelty and surprises will not leave disappointed, as four remarkably successful cimbalom soloists will take to the stage.

Balázs Kovalik’s monumental and moving production of the original version of The Flying Dutchman caused a sensation when it was first premiered at Müpa Budapest in 2015 and will be returning in 2027 for the first time since 2018.

“The sky does not begin with the stars, but at the tips of blades of grass.” On this special evening dedicated to his own compositions, Károly Binder revisits the most important stations of his creative career together with outstanding musicians with whom – as the quote from Mór Jókai suggests – he started out from the tips of blades of grass.
