Csókos asszony

Hol volt, hol nem volt… Furcsa idők jártak. 125 éve jelent meg a pesti kabaré. Kezdetben nem volt elsöprő sikere. Aztán valahogy rákaptunk. A magyar hangosfilm történetét nehéz lenne elképzelnünk kabarészerzők nélkül.

Theatre? Cinema? A concert? How about all three at once? Bori Péterfy has been a key figure in the Hungarian underground scene ever since the late ‘80s. She has amassed a series of acting credits for memorable roles at both independent and traditional theatres, while simultaneously gaining iconic status in the country’s music scene as a performer with Amorf Ördögök and, later on, Love Band.

Two masterpieces of late 19th-century French sacred music make up the programme of this concert-hall celebration: Gabriel Fauré’s exquisitely beautiful Requiem and the Clovis Mass by the elderly Charles Gounod. Between the movements of the latter work, the audience will also become acquainted with four further gems from the Gallican tradition of church music, with one composition each by Alexandre Guilmant, Louis Aubert, Camille Saint-Saëns and Théodore Dubois.
