A Lorenzo Da Ponte librettójára komponált műben mindent körbeleng az erotika levegője.
Az opera krimiszerűen indul: magánlaksértés majd gyilkosság a nyílt utcán. Noha az egész történet mintha arról szólna, hogy a szereplők a gyilkost keresik, a bűn és bűnhődés szerepe háttérbe szorul Don Giovanni tündöklése és bukása mögött.
Közreműködik a Győri Nemzeti Színház zenekara, énekkara és tánckara.

To this day, the band remains one of the best-known groups on the klezmer scene.
