Fassang László (orgona)
Fassang László neve aligha ismeretlen a budapesti közönség számára. Az orgonaművész kiterjedt hazai és nemzetközi előadói tevékenysége a klasszikus orgonairodalom megszólaltatására összpontosul, de fontos részét képezi másik szenvedélye, az improvizálás is. Zeneakadémiai hangversenyének középpontjában Johann Sebastian Bach zenei öröksége foglal helyet. Az est a legendás d-moll chaconne-nal veszi kezdetét, melyben Bach a felesége elvesztése utáni gyászának adott örökérvényű kifejezést. A komponista nevéből képzett zenei motívum (B-A-C-H) a zenetörténet számos mesterét ihlette meg: Liszt prelúdium és fúgájához Szathmáry Zsigmond modern alkotása szolgál kontrasztul. Schumann kontrapunktikus karakterdarabjait Ligeti György és Kurtág György remek miniatűrjei követik. Az estet megkoronázó mű Brahms negyedik szimfóniájának grandiózus fináléja, mely a chaconne-hoz hasonló variációs technikája révén találó lezárását nyújtja a koncertnek.

Following the great success of their 2023 concert, the Luxembourg Philharmonic Orchestra returns to Müpa Budapest under the baton of their new music director, Martin Rajna. The thoughtfully assembled programme vividly demonstrates the manner in which this excellent ensemble is entering a new chapter in its history full of dynamism and optimism.
It has been a long time since we thought of Cécile McLorin Salvant as merely the promising winner of the 2010 Thelonious Monk International Jazz Competition. Her expressive voice capable of conveying profound emotions and refined sentiments, her virtuoso improvisation, and her brave, experimental combinations of styles have now come to represent a point of reference to a new generation.
This programme is like a lavishly laid festive table set in the heart of Krakow: behind the dishes lie deep emotions, rich tradition and special musical seasonings. It kicks off with Stanisław Moniuszko’s fabulous fantasy overture, which combines a pinch of romance and a helping of fairy dust with lots of dramatic magic.
