Egy darab talán sosem kereste a szerzőjét – az mégis rátalált. Egy darab, ami már rég elveszítette rendezőjét, a színészekről nem is beszélve. Egy rendező elveszíti társulatát, önbecsülését és sorra vásároltatott virágait, miközben kétségbeesetten keresi szerelmeit (vagy ami abból megmaradt), és egy talán sosemvolt művészkarriert… Egy alkalmi haknira verbuválódott társulat kétségbeesetten keresi rendezőjét, kellékeit, szövegét, helyét a színpadon és az életben, miközben szardíniák, whiskyk, kombinék és rézkilincsek röpködnek, arab sejkek és hiányos öltözetű adóellenőrök kavarognak elől és hátul. A színház, ahogy még sosem láthattuk, őrülten, robbanásveszélyesen, mégis a szeretet szemüvegén át – Michael Frayn fergeteges komédiájában.

The evening promises a memorable encounter with one of the most celebrated groups of works in Bach’s oeuvre, as well as an introduction to the leading ensemble of the Japanese historically informed performance movement.
Two masterpieces of late 19th-century French sacred music make up the programme of this concert-hall celebration: Gabriel Fauré’s exquisitely beautiful Requiem and the Clovis Mass by the elderly Charles Gounod. Between the movements of the latter work, the audience will also become acquainted with four further gems from the Gallican tradition of church music, with one composition each by Alexandre Guilmant, Louis Aubert, Camille Saint-Saëns and Théodore Dubois.
