This concert, featuring his friend and fellow artist László Fassang at the organ and the Budapest Philharmonic Orchestra playing under the baton of Péter Dobszay, an organist himself, pays tribute to his work. In addition to two of Szathmáry’s own works, the program includes the organist’s transcriptions of pieces by Mussorgsky, Dvořák and Franck, as well as an improvisational salute from Fassang to his elder colleague.
