Karácsony közeledik, a békebeli illatszertár forgalma a csúcson. Az egyik boltos, Asztalos úr eközben is szerelmes, és örül, hogy az ünnepet a még sosem látott kedvesével töltheti. De a bolt tulajdonosa, Hammerschmied úr furcsán kezd viselkedni Asztalossal.
Munkahelyi viszály az oka? A kiállhatatlan és ellenséges Balázs kisasszony – aki még a fogkrémes tubust sem tudja rendesen megtölteni – fúrja Asztalos urat? Vajon tényleg eléri, hogy éppen karácsony napján veszítse el az állását? Ráadásul a szerelme sem válaszol a levelére... Asztalos úr élete, úgy tűnik, visszavonhatatlanul rosszra fordul, éppen karácsony ünnepén. Vagy mégsem?
A sikerdarab 75 éve, 1937-ben indult útjára, méghozzá nem máshonnan, mint innen, a Révay utcai színházból (anno Pesti Színház, ma már Centrál) és meg sem állt Hollywoodig, ahol három filmet is forgattak belőle.

Many people were surprised when, after a successful two-year streak during which they won the A38 talent competition known as Talentométer and conquered stages across Europe, including Müpa Budapest, makrohang split up. They then caused another, more pleasant surprise with the news in 2023 that they would be reviving what they themselves call their “jazz for metalheads” sound.
The Müpa Budapest audience has long admired Gábor Bretz’s outstanding artistry. In the 2026/2027 season, however, even greater attention will be focused on the internationally acclaimed bass baritone, celebrated for his velvety tones, refined vocal culture and exceptionally meticulous craftsmanship.
