A több évtizeddel ezelőtt született musical zenéje s a pikáns szerelmi történet ma is folytatja diadalútját a világ színpadain, s New Yorktól Párizsig újra és újra bemutatásra kerül. Hogy mi a titka? Megfejthetetlen és mégis sikert sikerre halmoz. Tündérmese, kis szépséghibával. Irma és Nestor fiatalok és szerelmesek. Összeköltöznek, hogy elkezdjék közös életüket. Hol itt a hiba? Nos ott, hogy Irma utcalány, Nestor pedig – érthető módon – halálosan féltékeny Irma kuncsaftjaira. Hogy kiiktassa életükből a többi férfit, Nestor végzetes lépésre szánja el magát, nem is sejtve, hogy a bonyodalmak egész láncolatát indítja el ezzel. Szövetségesekre talál egy bártulajdonosnő személyében és egy ügyetlen tolvajbandában; viszont szembe találja magát a hivatali bürokrácia értetlenkedésével és az igazságszolgáltatás ostobaságával. Amíg a történet bájos tündérmeséből abszurd komédiába fordul, Nestor és Irma élete – ha akarják, ha nem – végérvényesen közös útra terelődik. A felhőtlen szórakozást ígérő zenés vígjátékból a hatvanas években film is készült, Shirley MacLaine és Jack Lemmon főszereplésével.

Theatre? Cinema? A concert? How about all three at once? Bori Péterfy has been a key figure in the Hungarian underground scene ever since the late ‘80s. She has amassed a series of acting credits for memorable roles at both independent and traditional theatres, while simultaneously gaining iconic status in the country’s music scene as a performer with Amorf Ördögök and, later on, Love Band.
Although the concept behind the productions has always been a mature one, over the years the Ring has been rejuvenated within the framework of a constant idea and reborn in the details. Another permanent feature is the conducting method - one combining humanism with perfectionism - of music director Ádám Fischer.
A rainbow of sounds from the orchestra, enigmatic dialogues and mysterious riddles. Not to mention a treacherous dwarf and a glorious young hero. Who after slaying a dragon and tasting its blood, is able to understand the prophetic singing of a bird. And then crosses through a wall of fire to discover both the woman who is his mate and, through his love for her, fear.
