This album release concert of three highly individual and boldly experimental musicians, Hungarian singer Júlia Karosi, Estonian pianist Kristjan Randalu and Canadian trumpeter Ingrid Jensen, promises to be a special treat. The new album, Inner Voice, features new compositions by Júlia Karosi and Kristjan Randalu, as well as arrangements of a folk song and works of classical composers (Mussorgsky, Bartók, Villa-Lobos). The sound is mostly simple and intimate, with most of the songs being voice and piano duets, and only a few featuring the trumpet.

‘Kristjan Randalu’s music and playing have been an important inspiration for me for years. His way of improvising on classical music is simply unique, and his own compositions reveal a very special universe. We started to think about a joint album after a 2021 concert. Kristjan was very inspiring to work with, was deeply involved in the work of both the composition and the arrangement. I’ve also been following Ingrid Jensen’s work for a long time, she’s a wonderful artist who made a great contribution to the album with her sound and sensitive playing.’ (Júlia Karosi)
