A produkció Matei Vişniec, Franciaországban élő román költő még be nem mutatott, Requiem című egyfelvonásosa és az előadás alkotóinak közösen írt forgatókönyve alapján készült. Fiatal férfiak és nők sorsa bontakozik ki a sorozástól a bevonulók bálján át az első ütközetig, majd a halott katonákat hazavezénylő tábornok utolsó parancshirdetéséig. A játék mozgásszínházi eszközökkel jeleníti meg az eseményeket. A történetet rockzenei betétek, Tom Waits és Hugh Laurie zenéi tagolják.

A 29-year-old female bass player from India. These few words are enough for most people to immediately think of Mohini Dey. Despite her young age, pages could be filled listing all the artists and festivals she has performed with and at since the age of nine. It was her father, also a bass player, who started her on her professional path, a journey which has so far brought her into contact with Steve Vai, Zakir Hussain, Quincy Jones, Vinnie Colaiuta, and Gergő Borlai.
The film opens with a brief musical selection of golden oldies. These are blasts from the past, even if most of them are still popular. Could it be nostalgia? Or do they serve more as an introduction to the main character, who had once been a successful actress? Or perhaps a satirical element that tactlessly reminds us of who our divas sang for amid the whirlwinds of history?
The evening promises a memorable encounter with one of the most celebrated groups of works in Bach’s oeuvre, as well as an introduction to the leading ensemble of the Japanese historically informed performance movement.
