A darab premierje 1911. november 14-én volt a Király Színházban. Ez az operett volt Jacobi első jelentős sikerű műve, amely nemcsak a budapesti közönséget hódította meg, hanem a külföldi színházakat is. A címben szereplő esemény egy régi kaliforniai törvényre utal, miszerint azt a lányt, aki mindenkit kikosaraz, csúfságból férjhez adják a település "utolsó" legényéhez. Ez a tréfaházasság persze elvileg nem érvényes, egy váratlan fordulat kell ahhoz, hogy két és fél óra muníciót biztosítson Tom Migles és Lucy Harrison vadnyugati romantikával átszőtt szerelmi csatározásaihoz.

Mozart was insatiably in love with life. He embraced everything considered “sinful”: wine, cards, billiards. And his passion extended to musical ornaments: flowery acciaccaturas, trills, cadences others dared not risk, and chromatic runs. But there can be no doubt the main objects of his desire were women. He dedicated several of his masterpieces to one or other of his lovers, who were thus immortalised by these concert and opera arias.
A rainbow of sounds from the orchestra, enigmatic dialogues and mysterious riddles. Not to mention a treacherous dwarf and a glorious young hero. Who after slaying a dragon and tasting its blood, is able to understand the prophetic singing of a bird. And then crosses through a wall of fire to discover both the woman who is his mate and, through his love for her, fear.
Twenty-five years ago, four highly skilled French musicians decided to take the freedom of jazz and the pulsating sound of funk, and shape them into an entirely new concept by exploiting the possibilities offered by electronica. The experiment proved successful, and Electro Deluxe was born in Paris. Later, courtesy of American singer James Copley, the band discovered new vistas to explore.
