A Macskazene egy békés ebéddel kezdődik, Pacarel cukorgyáros bejelenti, hogy operaénekest szeretne szerződtetni, aki majd elénekli lánya operáját a párizsi operaházban, az új Faustot… De a híres tenor helyett, egy sajnálatos félreértés nyomán, egy jogi egyetemi tanulmányait épp megkezdő fiatalembert szerződtet. A jogász aspiráns azonban egyáltalán nem tud énekelni. Innentől a házban őrületes szerelmi viszonyok kavarognak, senki sem tudja, ki kit szeret, ki kinek udvarol, mindenkinek tetszik valaki, de folyamatosan félreértésekbe bonyolódnak, a jogász fiatalembernek pedig úton-útfélen mégis énekelnie kell.
A káprázatos bohózatok mestere, Feydeau a végletekig fokozza a konfliktusokat. Szereplői ambiciózus, önző emberek, akik képtelenek tisztán látni. Hiúságuk felülkerekedik minden realitáson.

Recirquel’s new production, Paradisum explores the myth of rebirth following the silence of a destroyed world, where the means of communication is the body, and the only common language is movement. The creatures of this idyllic existence unfold from the ever-changing, swirling natural forces of the ‘fabric of life’ that pulsates around them, so they can reach the anima mundi, the world soul, through scenes of purification, birth, awakening and ritual.
Formed in New York in 1986, The Klezmatics revolutionised klezmer, the Yiddish instrumental dance music style rooted in Eastern Europe. Now celebrating its fortieth anniversary, the ensemble was one of the first and biggest stars of the genre at the turn of the 1980s and 1990s, around the time when world music was gaining ground as a separate musical category. To this day, the band remains one of the best-known groups on the klezmer scene.
