Fenyő Miklós – Tasnádi István: MADE IN HUNGÁRIA
A hatvanas évek elején ki - majd visszadiszidál egy tipikusan angyalföldi család:
Fenyőék. A fiatal Mikibe (darabunkban Ricky) eddigre mélyen beleívódott mindaz, ami egy tizenévesnek Amerikát jelentheti: a rágó, a Marlboro, a hawaii ing, a Ballantines és mindenek előtt a rock and roll. A kinti élmények és egy megszállott lemezgyűjtő rádióműszerész hatására elhatározza: zenekart alapít. Cipős dobozból, éjjeli szekrényből erősítőt eszkábálnak, s már nem is kell más, csak néhány jó haver, hogy a Szent István parkban, a Fémmunkás próbatermében, a Tisza utcai utcabálon feldübörögjön a Viva Rock and roll. És létrejött a Hungária.

Our offer
Two masterpieces of late 19th-century French sacred music make up the programme of this concert-hall celebration: Gabriel Fauré’s exquisitely beautiful Requiem and the Clovis Mass by the elderly Charles Gounod. Between the movements of the latter work, the audience will also become acquainted with four further gems from the Gallican tradition of church music, with one composition each by Alexandre Guilmant, Louis Aubert, Camille Saint-Saëns and Théodore Dubois.
The dice and the stopwatch will be coming out again at the Béla Bartók National Concert Hall as it hosts another round of musical ‘battle’. When we talk about instrumental duels in the Hungarian capital these days, it is no longer necessarily Bach and Marchand, or even Liszt and Thalberg, that we are thinking of, because we have our own riveting concert series right here at Müpa Budapest.
It has been a long time since we thought of Cécile McLorin Salvant as merely the promising winner of the 2010 Thelonious Monk International Jazz Competition. Her expressive voice capable of conveying profound emotions and refined sentiments, her virtuoso improvisation, and her brave, experimental combinations of styles have now come to represent a point of reference to a new generation.
