A mikve rituális fürdő, ahol havonta egyszer az asszonyok megmerítkeznek, hogy megtisztuljanak, és újra érintkezhessenek férjükkel. A dráma szereplői különböző életkorú nők, akiket vallási szabályok kötnek, és különféle társadalmi és családi szerepekben egy férfiuralta világban küzdenek elfogadásukért, szabadságukért, jogaikért, s ha kell lázadnak is. Hadar Galron kortárs izraeli drámaíró 2004-ben írta a Mikvét, melyet azóta a világ számos pontján bemutattak. A magyarországi ősbemutatót Michal Docekal a prágai Nemzeti Színház igazgatója rendezi.
