Felkavaró, érzelmes történet egy anyáról, Manueláról, aki egy szörnyű tragédia után elutazik fiatalsága színhelyére, Barcelonába, hogy megkeresse fiának apját, aki soha nem látta gyermekét. De Manuela az emlékek után kutatva csak régi ismerősét, Agradót találja meg, aki transzvesztita prostituált lett, és így megismerteti őt Rosával, az utcanőket gyámolító várandós apácával. A két nő között sorsszerű, mély barátság szövődik, és talán egy új történet veszi kezdetét...
