Egy fiktív időben egy fiktív szuperhatalom megpróbálja átvenni az irányítást a szabad művészet fölött, azonban egy kis csoport ellenáll a nyomásnak, Mithridatésszal az élen, töretlen erővel küzdve az önálló alkotásért.
A racine-i szereplők új töltetet kapnak, kiemelkedve a történelmi közegből, átkerülve ebbe a – szigorúan fiktív – környezetbe.
A Nimphea Club pankrátoraiként küzdenek a szabadságért, az alkotásért, a szórakoztatásért... azonban mikor Mithridatész halálának híre megy, a küzdelem hirtelen fordulatot vesz. Titkok és hazugságok kerülnek napvilágra, vallomások szabadulnak fel, szövetségek köttetnek, konfliktusok robbannak ki. Mígnem a hős feléled hamvaiból. Vagy Mithridatész örökre halott?
