„A Parasztoperában egy balladisztikus történetet dolgoztunk fel opera formában. Zenéjének alapja az erdélyi magyar népdalok, a barokk és a rock bizarr, mégis homogén elegye. A történet talán sokak számára ismerős lesz. Nekem a nagymamám úgy mesélte, hogy Szabadszállás környéki emberekkel történt ez meg nagyon régen. Bocsássák meg nekem, ha egyelőre csak annyit árulok el belőle, hogy lesz benne néhány boldogtalan sorsú ember, szenvedély, humor, vérfertőzés és gyilkosság. Akinek tetszik, nézze meg többször is! Akinek nem tetszik, nézesse meg magát!”
