Annalisa túl sok Marconak, aki a felesége helyett leginkább a munkájáért él-hal. Ám az energikus nő rájön a megoldásra: keres magának még egy férjet, akit Antonio személyében talál meg. Íme, az ideális módszer a boldogsághoz! Ráadásul Annalisa úgy tudja, nem lehet gyereke. De ebben téved, mivel jön a baba. De kit válasszon apának? Ki az, akivel majd végre a boldogság kikötőjébe érhet? Ráadásul az események továbbra sem úgy zajlanak, ahogy azt Annalisa eltervezi.
A történetből népszerű film készül a hetvenes években Monica Vitti főszereplésével, a nyolcvanas években pedig a József Attila Színház is műsorára tűzte, Annalisa szerepében Bánsági Ildikóval.
