Beethoven: Piano Concerto No. 4 in G major, Op. 58

Beethoven: Mass in C major, Op. 86

Taking the stage at Müpa Budapest on this evening will be the creative spirit Philippe Herreweghe joined by the world-famous workshops he founded: the Collegium Vocale Gent and the Orchestre des Champs-Elysées. As is well known, his repertoire is not limited strictly to early music: he conducts anything that captures his interest, from Monteverdi and Gesualdo to Stravinsky, and Dvořák. This time around, he will be interpreting the message of Beethoven: with the popular Fourth Piano Concerto in G major featuring Kristian Bezuidenhout, a specialist in early keyboard instruments, and the soloists in the rarely played Mass in C major comprised of an international cast of singers.

Our offer

If we were to try and name notable Hungarian literary pairings of the 20th century, then Domokos Szilágyi and Gizella Hervay are certainly worthy of mention alongside Miklós Mészöly and Alaine Polcz, despite the short-lived nature of their life together.

Aligha!

This event featuring the work of one of the most popular poets, translators and linguists of contemporary Hungarian literature promises the audience a truly unique experience.
