Egy észak-afrikai halász hajótörést szenved, majd illegális bevándorlás gyanúja miatt letartóztatja az Európai Unió határőrizeti alakulata. Egy kortárs performansz-művész elárverezteti magát a líbiai forradalmárok támogatása érdekében. Közben a barátja egyre elkeseredettebb a társadalmi viszonyok szűkössége és korlátozottsága miatt, egy nyájmenedzser pedig a nyájtartás optimalizálásról tart előadást. A Charlotte Roos-Juli Zeh szerzőpáros ezekből a - látszólag szerteágazó - történetekből írt színdarabot az arab tavaszról, a társadalmi kötöttségekkel szembeni lázadás lehetőségeiről, illetve arról, hogy mennyire vagyunk hajlandóak feláldozni és korlátozni a szabadságunkat a biztonságunk érdekében.

Recirquel’s new production, Paradisum explores the myth of rebirth following the silence of a destroyed world, where the means of communication is the body, and the only common language is movement. The creatures of this idyllic existence unfold from the ever-changing, swirling natural forces of the ‘fabric of life’ that pulsates around them, so they can reach the anima mundi, the world soul, through scenes of purification, birth, awakening and ritual.
A rainbow of sounds from the orchestra, enigmatic dialogues and mysterious riddles. Not to mention a treacherous dwarf and a glorious young hero. Who after slaying a dragon and tasting its blood, is able to understand the prophetic singing of a bird. And then crosses through a wall of fire to discover both the woman who is his mate and, through his love for her, fear.
“The sky does not begin with the stars, but at the tips of blades of grass.” On this special evening dedicated to his own compositions, Károly Binder revisits the most important stations of his creative career together with outstanding musicians with whom – as the quote from Mór Jókai suggests – he started out from the tips of blades of grass.
