A Sztárcsinálókat 1981-ben mutatták be. A ma is aktuális Néró-történet figyelmeztetés: hogyan képes a hatalmi téboly elszabadulni és tökéletesen önjáróvá válva mindent elpusztítani. Az első magyar rockoperában Néró, birodalmának országaiban, dalversenyt hirdet, megkezdődik a politikai sztárcsinálás. A rockidőszak monstruózus stílusa és hangereje viszi a hátán - ma is időszerűen - Juvenalis költő verssorát: "Sok dicsőség és tengernyi szenny, ez a történelem".
