Mi történik, ha Mozart operájának hőseit nem énekesek, hanem finoman megmunkált marionettfigurák jelenítik meg a színpadon? A Salzburgi Marionettszínház produkciója az operairodalom emblematikus művének alig egyórás változata: miközben a történet legfontosabb zenei és dramaturgiai pilléreit megőrzi, könnyebben követhető, sűrűbb formában vezeti végig a nézőt Tamino, Pamina és Papageno kalandjain.

Mozart was insatiably in love with life. He embraced everything considered “sinful”: wine, cards, billiards. And his passion extended to musical ornaments: flowery acciaccaturas, trills, cadences others dared not risk, and chromatic runs. But there can be no doubt the main objects of his desire were women. He dedicated several of his masterpieces to one or other of his lovers, who were thus immortalised by these concert and opera arias.

Known for her sensitive interpretation of roles, the Finnish soprano Camilla Nylund will once again demonstrate in this evening of lieder what an outstanding performer of the German repertoire she is.
