Van egy manó. Tupakka. Kicsoda?!? Hát Tupakka! Itt lakik Manófalván! Manódombok között kerekezik nap, mint nap, hátán az ásója, mosolya az arcán. Amerre jár, az árnyékból fény bújik elő, elillan a rosszkedv. Hogy nem ismered? Annyi baj legyen, most Te is vele tarthatsz, megismerheted a barátait, manósziget lakóinak életét. Kicsit olyan, mintha a mi utcánkba kukkantanánk be. Zsuzsika sírdogál, mert az anyukája a szomszéd nénire bízta, Mufurc az aranykezű ezermester mindenkinek segít, de egész nap csak zsörtölődik. Rutoldó viszont, a helyi vagány, bárkit szívesen kinevet, folyton valamilyen rosszban sántikál a lakók nagy bánatára. Hogy aztán hogyan csal Tupakka mindenkinek mosolyt az arcára, és mi változtatja meg a kis közösség életét, kiderül a meséből. Tartsatok velem!

Formed in New York in 1986, The Klezmatics revolutionised klezmer, the Yiddish instrumental dance music style rooted in Eastern Europe. Now celebrating its fortieth anniversary, the ensemble was one of the first and biggest stars of the genre at the turn of the 1980s and 1990s, around the time when world music was gaining ground as a separate musical category. To this day, the band remains one of the best-known groups on the klezmer scene.
What happens when the heroes of Mozart’s opera are portrayed on stage not by singers, but by finely crafted marionette figures? The Salzburg Marionette Theatre’s production offers a barely one-hour version of this iconic piece from the opera repertoire: while preserving its essential musical and dramatic pillars, it guides the audience through Tamino, Pamina, and Papageno’s adventures in a more accessible, dense form.
